Wee Remember Support Group
6:30-8:30 p.m., fourth Tuesday of each month; meets at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital, 1501 Sumter St., basement level Seminar Room
This group is open to any parent in the community who has experienced a pregnancy loss, or the loss of an infant up to the age of two years. No registration is required. Wee Remember is also a part of the annual Hearts and Hands Forever Walk which is sponsored by the Women’s and Neonatal areas of Prisma Health and is held each October during National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month.
Angel Mommy Ministries
Angel Mommy Ministries is a Christian-based organization in the Midlands that provides support and friendship to families grieving the loss of an infant. They meet in the West Columbia/Lexington area for dinner and fellowship. The group is open to anyone who wants to create friendships and fellowship with other mothers of angels. Gone Too Soon Support
7–8:30 p.m., first Tuesday of each month
This monthly grief support group is available for parents who have experienced the death of a child of any age. If you are a parent who has lost a child, it offers a safe place where you will receive support and discover that you are not alone. Sharing your experience of loss with other parents who have “been there” is often the first step in moving through the journey of grief. This is an open group, and pre-registration is not required. The group is free of charge due to the generosity of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation. It is held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Room 304. Naomi’s Circle HOPE Group
6:30-7:45 p.m., second Thursday of each month
The Naomi’s Circle HOPE group is for parents who have experienced the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy or early infancy. The group meets at Spring Valley Baptist Church, located at 91 Polo Rd. in northeast Columbia in the Platt Educational Building (accessible from the lower parking lot). Open to the community. Free childcare provided. Please note: the HOPE group and Naomi’s Circle PALS group (listed below) often meet together, but can meet separately if necessary. Naomi’s Circle Parenting/Pregnancy After Loss Support (PALS) Group
The Naomi’s Circle Parenting/Pregnancy After Loss Support group is for women who have experienced one or more losses, and are either pregnant or have another living child (born before or after loss). Women without living children are welcome, and babies may be present.
