When you need emergency care, we’re here for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our emergency departments, which include the region’s only Level I Trauma Center at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, care for more than 220,000 patients a year.

Always call 911 if you’re experiencing:

• Significant trauma
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Symptoms of a heart attack, such as crushing chest pain, pain in the left arm, sudden weakness or dizziness
• Signs of a stroke, such as slurred speech, severe headache, weakness/numbness on one side of the face/body, loss of consciousness
