Ready to become a Personal Touch Volunteer?

Here are the steps to get started

  • We will contact you once we have received your application and provide you with a packet to complete
  • Once accepted, will be required to attend the Personal Touch Volunteer Training Course
    • Offered four times a year at Prisma Health hospitals in Columbia, and on a monthly basis in Sumter at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital
  • You will also be required to attend the Prisma Health new team member experience training
    • Offered every other Monday from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. in Columbia, and every other Tuesday from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. in Sumter

Because of the unusual opportunity for volunteers to provide hands-on care as members of the patient care team, the qualifying process is exacting. Please understand that completion of each of these steps is required to ensure all regulations are met and every consideration is given for the safety of our patients and volunteers alike.

Please call 803-296-5520 for information on our next Personal Touch training course. Training availability is subject to change depending on the campus needs.
