Children with Cancer Enjoy A Special Night Out on the Town
04/15/2014
EVENT: The Red Carpet Event is designed to give children who are undergoing cancer treatment an opportunity to have a night out on the town. The event will include music, dancing and dinner.

WHEN: Saturday, April 26

TIME: 6-9 p.m.

PLACE: Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital, 7 Medical Park Dr., in the first-floor atrium

ABOUT: Sometimes an evening of dancing is just what children need to help them forget about cancer treatment and just have some fun. Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital is partnering with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to present The Red Carpet Event. This free event gives children with cancer and blood disorders a chance to dress up and enjoy a festive walk across the red carpet as they step into the Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital atrium for an event created just for them.

Each child invites a friend or “date” to the red carpet. Parents also can attend. Physicians, nurses and staff share in the fun too.
