Palmetto Health Partners With Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic to
Bring New Services to Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Campus

Spa Provides New Services to Residents, Patients

Palmetto Health, the largest and most comprehensive health care system in the Midlands region of South Carolina, is partnering with Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic, an award-winning, full-service spa and cosmetic clinic, to bring unique medical spa services to the community.

The Palmetto Health Healing Waters Spa will be located adjacent to the region’s newest hospital, Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge, opening in the Irmo/Harbison area in spring 2014. Cosmetic surgical procedures will be performed in the new hospital. The Palmetto Health Healing Waters Spa will offer clients traditional spa treatments, including anti-aging Pure MD® facials and massage therapy; cosmetic procedures such as Botox® and dermal fillers; plastic surgery procedures including breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, liposuction, eyelid surgery and “tummy tucks;” and wellness programs designed to improve diet, exercise, hormonal imbalance and lifestyle habits. Benjamin McIntyre, M.D., an established plastic surgeon with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, will oversee the clinic’s medical services.

"At Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge and across the Palmetto Health system, we are working to re-imagine and redefine the health care experience for our patients and community members,” said Sarah Richter Kirby, Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge’s Acute Care Executive. “This opportunity to offer Healing Waters medical spa services within the setting of our newest hospital campus is just one example of how Palmetto Health is focused on delivering the personal, memorable, compassionate care our patients want and deserve.”

The Palmetto Health Healing Waters Spa will echo the look, feel, mission and service philosophy for which Healing Waters is known and recognized at its locations in Wichita, Kan., and Durham, N.C., while uniquely integrated into a large regional health care delivery system. The spa also will mirror Healing Waters’ vision of inspiring a transformational difference in the lives of its clients, guided by its four core transformational principles—Calm, Balance, Correct and Restore. From the moment guests enter the new spa, they will be immersed in luxury and personal attention by a team of highly trained and dedicated professionals. Community members will have access to a full range of spa, cosmetic and wellness services designed to enhance their health and well-being.

Amanda Gorecki, president and founder of Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic, added, “Our goal is to help our clients live healthier, happier lives by integrating our transformational principles into all our service offerings and customer interactions. We place great emphasis on positively influencing each client’s life choices. Our partnership with Palmetto Health will be a huge asset in providing more people the opportunity to experience personal empowerment, as well as a healthy relationship with themselves and their bodies.”

Both Palmetto Health and Healing Waters are well known and respected in their respective markets. Palmetto Health’s 9,000-plus team members and volunteers and nearly 1,100 physicians are dedicated to working together to fulfill the organization’s vision: To be remembered by each patient as providing the care and compassion we want for our families and ourselves.
