Palmetto Health sponsors a free breakfast, health fair and screening event for women
EVENT: “Women’s Health in Full Bloom: Wake Up to A Healthier You”

PLACE: First Baptist Church of Columbia, 1306 Hampton St., Ellis Hall
Event entrance and parking is located off of Washington St.
ABOUT: Palmetto Health is sponsoring a free breakfast, health fair and screening event just for women, “Women’s Health in Full Bloom: Wake Up to A Healthier You.” The event will feature motivational speakers as well as health information sessions that will cover a wide range of topics, including: healthy eating, breast cancer prevention and early detection, skin care, hair care, physical activity and relaxation techniques.
This free event is part of Palmetto Health’s community health event series. The Office of Community Health offers a series of health care initiatives to uninsured and underserved people in Richland, Lexington and Fairfield counties. In addition to other efforts, services include free cancer, diabetes screenings and diabetes prevention classes. Palmetto Healthy Start also offers free classes on pregnancy, childbirth and infant care.
Those who qualify can receive a free mammogram and diabetes screening. To register for the event and screenings, call 803-296-CARE (2273).
