Smoking Policy
Because your health matters to us, effective May 1, 2005, Palmetto Health Baptist became an entirely smoke-free campus.
Though our buildings have been smoke-free for years, we're expanding our commitment to good health by including the areas surrounding those buildings.
In the interest of promoting good health and healthy lifestyles, Palmetto Health Baptist joins numerous other smoke-free hospitals around the country in modeling healthy behaviors for our community. It's our mission. And our concern for your wellness and those visiting our hospital (combined with what we know about second-hand smoke and the dangerous chemicals carried on the skin, hair and clothing of smokers) is reason enough for us to expand our commitment.
Thank you for joining us in making our hospital safe for all our patients and guests.
