The Breast Center offers a variety of support programs that provide resources for recovery and emotional healing. Most of the services listed here are provided free of charge.
 
Arts & Healing
Support programs and individual sessions using visual and performing artists to show creative ways to deal with cancer and feelings about the illness. No art talent required.
Bosom Buddies
Bosom Buddies is a breast cancer patient support group. Group discussion is led by a facilitator regarding coping skills during the breast cancer experience. Programs are presented by professional educators in the area of breast cancer.

Breast Health Patient Educators Breast Cancer Nurse Navigators
Our Circle of Care approach to treatment is tailored to each patientâs specific diagnosis, personality, lifestyles and desires. A prime example of this is our Nurse Navigators who take the extra steps to individually educate and support our patients from the point of their diagnosis throughout the end of their medical treatment.

Family Matters
Family Matters is support group for family members and close friends of cancer patients. Group discussion focuses on coping with cancer.
I Can Cope
An educational program designed to provide information on cancer including diagnosis and treatment options. Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

Look Good, Feel Better
A professional cosmetologist gives hints on make-up, hair and nails, and shows how to wear scarves, turbans and hats. For patients just before, during and just after treatment. Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society, National Cosmetology Association, and the Cosmetics, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation.

MARYS Meeting And Reviving Your Spirit

Recurring Breast Cancer Online Forum
This is a support group for patients whose breast cancer has recurred after treatment. Patients tell us that learning they have cancer a second time is harder than when they first found out they had cancer. Recurrent breast cancer may be local or systemic. Local recurrence means that the disease has returned to the breast, underarm lymph nodes or nearby tissues. Systemic recurrence means that the cancer has spread to distant organs. A rehabilitation program conducted in a one-on-one session to help patients recover from cancer emotionally and function to the best of their ability.

Image Plus
A one-on-one session to help patients learn to deal with the changes and side effects of cancer treatment. Patients receive beauty aides and assistance with wig selection. Offered by appointment.

Libraries
You may check out books, tapes, videos, and CD's about many aspects of cancer. FREE brochures are available. You may also access Internet websites for additional information.

A service to connect a cancer patient with a cancer survivor by telephone, letter or personal visits.

Patient and Family Counseling
Psychosocial staff may provide counseling sessions for patients and their families. Also, special sessions on pain management, stress relief and relaxation are available.

Chaplains are available to provide spiritual support or connect patients and their families with a minister, rabbi, priest or faith-group leader.
