Burke H. Dial, MD, FACS, specializes in Gamma Knife consultation and treatment. Dr. Dial is medical director for Palmetto Health Gamma Knife Center. A graduate of Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., Dr. Dial continued his education at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. After a straight surgical internship at Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, Canada, he completed a neurological surgery residency at Montreal Neurosurgical Hospital and Institute. Dr. Dial is board certified in neurological surgery. He completed Principals and Practices of Gamma Knife Surgery at the Cromwell Hospital, Gamma Knife Centre in London and has been performing Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at the Gamma Knife Center since 1999. His special interests are the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia; arteriovenous malformations, and difficult or inoperable brain tumors with the Leksell Gamma Knife.
