J. Kyle Hewett, MD, FSCAI, earned a medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Richland Memorial Hospital. He completed a cardiology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge, LA, where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. He completed fellowships in both interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular intervention at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA. He is board certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Hewett is the Medical Director of CCU and Telemetry at Palmetto Health Heart Hospital. His career interests include coronary/ peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart interventions, and therapeutic hypothermia. He specializes in radial artery catheterizations and is involved in a study involving cardiac arrest patients.
