Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency Programs

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Group therapy sessions are held during the day on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m to 3:30 p.m. (Lunch is served).

Healthcare Provider Program (HPP)
This program is designed to serve the impaired professional and is held concurrently with Day IOP. Specialty groups for professional are held separate from IOP group sessions. One-on-one counseling is available as needed.

Half-day and multi-day Comprehensive Clinical Evaluation
Licensed Professionals are assessed by Thomas Manning, Program Manager, through a comprehensive evaluation process. The process includes the development of a:

  • Bio-psychosocial / Substance Abuse History
  • Psychiatric Consultation by our medical director
  • Psychological tests /Interpretation
  • Participation in a therapeutic group process
  • Laboratory tests to rule out the presence of drugs and alcohol
  • Nursing assessment

Lunch is available. In-patient lodging is required in some cases.

Compass
Compass is an educational series with an emphasis on prevention minus the intensity of treatment programs. Compass is designed to address the pre-contemplative and contemplative thought process of individuals who are uncertain if a substance abuse problem exists. The six session program provides education on substance abuse and dependency. Drug screens are taken and progress reports are made available to referral sources. This particular program is not covered by insurances; however, flexible payment plans are available.

Aftercare
Aftercare groups are available to persons who successfully complete the IOP or HPP. There is no limit on the length of time the person participates; however a one-year minimum is recommended. Groups are held from 6–7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday each week.

Mirroring Group
"Mirroring" is a therapeutic support group comprised of people who are required to be licensed to work in their profession. Prior to entering the Mirroring Group each participant has successfully completed the HPP and now functions as a peer support person for newcomers. All therapeutic support groups are facilitated by counseling professionals. Groups are held Monday evenings from 6–7:30 p.m.
