Fire Safety
Be aware of the location of fire pull boxes and the locations of fire extinguishers. Stay informed about potential health and safety risks or hazards in the workplace.

ID Badges

ID badges should be worn when inside the hospital, on campus or at any Palmetto Health owned practice at all times for both security and safety reasons.

Badges allow access to parking areas reserved specifically for physicians.

If ID badge is not working or you need a replacement badge, call Security, Baptist (803) 296-5820 or Richland (803) 434-7351.
Parking
Physicians may park in any unreserved spaces with or without a parking decal. However, if you park in a reserved physician only parking spot without a parking decal you have the potential to be ticketed since Security will not know you are a physician. All parking spaces are head-in parking only. Place decal on rear bumper. NPs, PAs and CRNAs are not issued parking decals.
Emergency Evacuation in Ambulatory Practices:

Designate a meeting place outside the building and ensure that all staff members are aware of the location.

Charge person should be able to verify all staff and patients are accounted for.
