About Our Practice
Welcome to Jay Markowitz, MD, and Associates. Our internal medicine practice specializes in providing comprehensive medical care for routine and complex illnesses, and offers high quality primary care for adults. Our office is conveniently located at 103 Saluda Ridge Court in the heart of West Columbia.
What is an Internist?
Internists are trained to have a personal and long-term commitment to patients, broad knowledge and skill in diagnosis and treatment, and a caring bedside manner. Internists treat both common and complex illnesses and offer high quality primary care to adults and adolescents. They provide continuing care for their patients in the office, during hospitalization (in concert with a hospitalist) and other long-term care. Internists serve as coordinators of patient care when other medical specialists, such as surgeons, are involved.
M. Bradley Markowitz, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Palmetto Health Richland.
Tanya Gore Seawright, MD, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Palmetto Health.
