Rotations and Projects

Orientation, Projects and Other Initiatives
The Administrative Fellow is provided the unique experience of getting a comprehensive orientation to the system during their first couple of months at Palmetto Health. The system immersion begins with the Fellow attending an all day orientation session for new employees to Palmetto Health. Following this scheduled orientation, time is spent on each campus getting to know the key leaders and the main service areas and departments for which these leaders are responsible. After the completion of the individual campus rotations and shadowing, time will be spent at the Corporate Office.
A Fellowship Advisory Group comprised of members of leadership, works closely with Mr. Charles Beaman, CEO to provide oversight and input for continuous improvement of the Fellowship process. Mr. Beaman works with the Fellow to finalize which projects and other initiatives will be part of the Fellow's individual development plan. To gain practical experience, the Fellow will spend approximately 70 percent of the year-long Fellowship completing meaningful projects. The assigned Preceptor(s) will provide guidance and needed direction for those projects assigned.
