Rejena Azad, PharmD 

My name is Rejena Azad. I grew up in Michigan and currently reside in Georgia. I received my PharmD at the University of Georgia in May of 2012. I chose to complete my PGY-1 residency at Palmetto Health Richland because of the variety and flexibility of rotations, knowledgeable and caring preceptors, and the ample amount of teaching opportunities offered by the institute. My professional interests include internal medicine, ambulatory care, infectious disease, and academia. During my spare time, I like spending time with friends and family, traveling, trying exotic cuisine and exploring different cultures.

 

 

Sarah Doornbos, PharmD 

My name is Sarah Doornbos, and I am from Boise, Idaho. I received my Pharm D. from Idaho State University in May of 2012. I chose to pursue a residency at Palmetto Health Richland because of the friendly environment, knowledgeable preceptors, opportunities provided for growth and development and the quality of patient care delivered. My professional interests include critical care and cardiology with a plan to purse a PGY2 in one of these areas.  In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, running, water-skiing, snow-skiing and spending time with my family and friends. 

 

 

Jenna Foster, PharmD

My name is Jenna Foster, and I am from Clinton, South Carolina. After receiving my BS in Biology from Presbyterian College in 2008, I completed my PharmD from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy (SCCP) in May of 2012. I chose to complete my residency at Palmetto Health Richland because of its high-quality preceptors and variety of learning experiences offered. My professional interests include pediatrics and critical care. In my free time I like to enjoy time with friends and family, cheering on the Gamecocks, and playing with my dog Baxter.  

 

 

Rashanda Robertson, PharmD

My name is Rashanda Robertson.  I am from Atlanta, GA. I received my PharmD in May 2012 from Howard University College of Pharmacy in Washington, D.C. I chose to pursue a residency at Palmetto Health Richland because of the vast experiences offered in acute and ambulatory care settings, the opportunity to teach and precept pharmacy students, as well as the opportunity to work with such a diverse patient population. My professional interests include pediatrics and oncology. Following this year, I plan to pursue a PGY-2 residency in pediatrics. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and watching old movies.

 

 

Michael Scalese, PharmD

My Name is Mike Scalese and I'm from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. I survived pharmacy school at Wilkes University and graduated with a PharmD in 2012. In my free time I enjoy playing golf, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. My professional interests include internal medicine, cardiology, and infectious disease. I chose to pursue a residency at Palmetto Health Richland because of their pharmacy-friendly atmosphere, dedication to teaching and resident development, and the flexibility and wide variety of rotational experiences available.
