Cancer Registry & Research Programs
At Palmetto Health Cancer Centers, our cancer data management team of experts carefully tracks each of our patients diagnosed with cancer, starting at the time of diagnosis through treatment and for life. We do this to accurately collect data to provide our physicians, nurses and researchers with valuable information about how cancers are diagnosed and treated, and so they can follow the health status of our patients after treatment.
To view the most recently published cancer data from Palmetto Health, browse through the 2014 Cancer Program Annual Report.
Precision data is provided with no patient identifiers, so local, regional, and national clinicians and researchers across the country can study the data to drive improvements in cancer treatment and care.

Tissue Bank – Biorepository
Our Tissue Bank, or Biorepository, at Palmetto Health Cancer Centers collects tissue, blood and saliva specimens from patients with cancer. In collaboration with Palmetto Health, researchers at the University of South Carolina match these specimens with de-identified data. The goal is to facilitate cancer research by providing specimens and data to researchers.
E-mail the Biorepository Manager for more information or to discuss research and specimen needs.
