Health Sciences South Carolina
Health Sciences South Carolina (HSSC), founded in 2004, is a statewide health sciences research collaborative formed by South Carolina's three largest research universities and three health systems: Clemson University, Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center, Medical University, Palmetto Health, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, University of South Carolina. HSSC partners conduct the majority of biomedical research in the state; educate the next generation of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and healthcare administrators; and individually are among the state's largest healthcare providers. The goal of HSSC is to improve the state's economic wellbeing, education and public health status through health sciences research.
