Our orthopaedic surgeons have more than 30 years combined experience in joint replacement specialization. They use a standardized approach to joint replacement surgery and follow up care, which achieves excellent results with fewer complications when compared to national averages. Additionally, patients report very high levels of satisfaction as a result of their surgery and the care received at Palmetto Health's Total Joint Center at the Richland facility. 

Dr. Chillag


Kim J. Chillag, M.D. has practiced orthopaedic surgery for more than 20 years, specializing in total hip and total knee replacement surgery. A graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine, he has completed fellowships in total joint replacement at Joint Implant Surgeons, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, and in Sports Medicine at the Oklahoma Center for Athletes in Oklahoma City. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery; a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons; a member of the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons, and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Voss


Frank R. Voss, M.D. is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and joined the University of South Carolina School of Medicine faculty in 1993 where he currently serves as Director of Medical Education for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Voss completed his residency in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston , and an orthopaedic surgery residency at Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program. He completed a Fellowship in reconstructive surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Voss is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, osteotomies and trauma.
