Project READY

Project READY is an injury prevention program designed to explore the consequences of risky adolescent behavior. READY, (Realistic Education About Dying Young), is sponsored by Palmetto Health's Office of Community Services and Palmetto Health Richland's Trauma Program. The READY program aims to provide adolescents with a realistic insight into the consequences of risk taking behaviors that lead to traumatic injury. Youth are provided the opportunity of seeing consequences of risk taking behavior by exposing them to the environment of a Level I Trauma Center. Sessions include interactive presentations, a tour of the hospital's trauma area and morgue, and injury/disability simulation stations.
Adults and teens are encouraged to attend this stellar program.
Only 30 participants may participate. To register, contact CareCall at 296-2273.
