Palmetto Health HomeCare offers the following services:Nurse assisting man in his home

  • Skilled Nursing Services – Nurses provide general, medical and post-surgical care in addition to a variety of specialty programs.
  • Home Health Aide Services – Certified aides provide personal care services.
  • Dietary Consultation – A registered dietitian provides nutritional counseling.
  • Social Work Services – Medical social workers assess the emotional and social needs of the patient and family, assist with coping skills, and identify the appropriate community services and resources.
  • Chaplaincy Services – Chaplains are available upon request to meet spiritual care needs.
  • Physical Therapy  – Physical therapists focus on transfer training, strengthening the overall body and improving walking while teaching the caregiver how to assist the patient in their rehabilitation program.
  • Occupational Therapy – Occupational therapists specialize in the retraining of arms and hands to increase independence in activities of daily living.
  • Speech Therapy – Speech therapists maximize the patient's ability to communicate in addition to working with patients with swallowing disorders.

Arrangements can be made for supplies, durable medical equipment and pharmaceuticals when necessary.
