How Others Measure Us

Nationally, quality data by hospital is reported by various organizations and often hospitals participate voluntarily. In some cases data is required to be reported as is the case in South Carolina's law for reporting hospital infections. 

Palmetto Health voluntarily participates in many nationally reported quality initiatives. Data posted on various public websites may vary. Some data is fairly current (within months), while some data may be one or two years old. Be sure to look carefully at the date of the information.
