Laboratory Services at Twelve Mile Family Medicine
Effective Janaury 1, 2012, all routine bloodwork must be scheduled in advance. To schedule bloodwork, log-on to the patient portal and choose "request an appointment" under the "appointments" tab.
We have a convenient lab on-site at Twelve Mile Creek Family Medicine to draw routine bloodwork. You need an appointment to have your blood drawn. Hours of operation for the lab are as follows:
Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 1:30–4:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
FASTING: If you were told your bloodwork was to be "fasting," you should have nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before. Typically, fasting bloodwork includes cholesterol and blood sugar screening. Drop in as early as you can to have your blood drawn, and do not eat or drink anything except water prior. You may take your morning pills with a glass of water before having bloodwork.
