Electronic Medical Records (EMR) 
Without a doubt, the use of EMR in healthcare will have as big an impact on healthcare as the discovery of penicillin, the X-ray, or the smallpox vaccine. If your communications, finances, and travel plans are all electronic, why not your most important asset: your health.

Instant Medical History (IMH) 
Also known as the "questionnaire." This tool allows us to organize and review your complaints prior to your visit so that we can spend our time together more efficiently. Studies show that physicians are not spending the time with patients that they should, and with IMH we can concentrate on what matters most: you.

Electronic Prescribing 
We are one of the few practices in South Carolina that utilizes this new technology. Your prescriptions are sent directly to the pharmacy electronically. The result is fewer medical errors and usually allows you to stop in and pick up your prescription without waiting.

Virtual Office Visits (VOV)  
We are proud to offer online visits, which are available 24/7. Although this service will never replace face-to-face visits, there are several issues we can discuss and treat in the comfort of your own home.

A COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

On August 1, 2008, Twelve Mile Creek Family Medicine joined with Palmetto Health. For patients who have been with us for some time, this partnership will not affect the experience you have as a patient in the office. In fact, it now provides you, as a patient, with a great many additional resources. Explore the Palmetto Health Website to find specialists  for referral or to find convenient locations for tests. Your physicians work closely with hospitalists at Palmetto Health to ensure continuity of care when you are discharged from the hospital. The records of your hospitalization will be sent to Twelve Mile Creek for your doctor to review. (Please note that providers at Twelve Mile Creek Family Medicine no longer admit patients to the hospital.)
