About Our Practice
Welcome to University Family Medicine. Our physicians and staff are committed to providing patients with excellent, quality care and keeping them informed about their health.
Our practice is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a health care setting that emphasizes partnerships between individual patients and their personal physicians, and when appropriate, the patients’ families.
What is a Family Practice Physician?
Family Practice physicians are trained to treat the whole person, physically and emotionally. They provide comprehensive medical care to you and your family. Your family physician will get to know you and your medical history to personalize your care.

If an appointment needs to be cancelled, please call at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
Prescriptions and Refills
Ask your pharmacy to electronically request refills or you may contact our office directly. Please allow 48 business hours to refill prescription requests. Medication requests will be handled during regular business hours, Monday-Friday. Please keep in mind, some medications cannot be transmitted electronically and may need to be picked up from our office.
We have a physician on call each night and on weekends. Please be assured your care is in the best of hands.
If you need after-hours medical attention for an issue that is not life threatening, Palmetto Health has two Urgent Care locations.

We accept most insurance plans. If you have a question about our fees or your bill, please call our Physician Practice Billing department at 803-296-7306 and we will assist you.
