 Volunteer Opportunities at Palmetto Health Baptist

Volunteer Services at Palmetto Health Baptist provides non-nursing support services. These volunteers give personal attention and perform supplemental responsibilities in a variety of areas in our hospital including Registration guides, Information/Greeters, Flowers & Mail, Gift Shop, Intensive care waiting room and Surgery waiting room.

Personal Touch at Palmetto Health Baptist 

Personal Touch volunteers serve in patient care areas. They work directly with the nursing staff, delivering hands-on comfort care to patients and offering emotional support to patients and families. Training is required. Personal Touch placement sites include the ER, Medical/Neurological, Oncology, Orthopedics, Subacute Rehab, Third Surgical and many more.

Volunteer Opportunities at Palmetto Health Richland

The Palmetto Health Richland volunteer program offers many exciting, rewarding volunteer opportunities. There are more that 20 service areas to choose from within Palmetto Health, including Children's Hospital, Heart Hospital, the Cancer Center, and Palmetto Health Richland, including:

Hospital Volunteer Program – Volunteers are needed in many areas of the hospital. These volunteer opportunities are open to all adults 18 and over.

Summer Youth – Opportunities for volunteers ages 14–17. Call the Volunteer Services Office at (803) 434-6242 to obtain an application form.
