This program, for freshmen students at Benedict College, is offered as a part of Benedict's Freshman Seminar Class. One 50-minute session includes interactive discussions and classroom activities that provide accurate information to college freshmen on creating healthy relationships, the appropriate use of contraceptive methods and protecting themselves against sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy.
Palmetto Health offers this free program to help parents improve communication with their teens about sexuality and health. The purpose of the program is to help reduce teen pregnancy by encouraging parents to develop strong, positive relationships with their children. Sessions are relaxed and address issues such as teen pregnancy, understanding your child’s relationships (dating and friends), and communication tips. For information about upcoming sessions, call 803-296-CARE (2273).
