Baptist Laboratory Services

The staff of the Laboratory is comprised of approximately 150 people, performing more than one million diagnostic tests annually and interacting daily with nursing units and other departments throughout the hospital. The  dedicated staff works together to provide quality patient care in an efficient manner. All of the Pathologists are Board Certified with additional certification in various laboratory specialties. Specimens removed during surgery at Palmetto Health Baptist are examined and diagnosed by Pathologists who consult with surgeons and practitioners on a regular basis. The pathologists oversee the Laboratory to ensure that quality, accurate, and state-of -the-art procedures are performed.
