"Topping Out" of Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge
10/02/2012
The ritual of “topping out” to celebrate the completion of a structure reaches back centuries. While there remains a great deal of work to be done to complete the project, the evergreen tree hoisted by the crane represents the safe and successful attainment of the highest point.

Join Palmetto Health administrators, physicians and employees along with Rodgers Builders, JHS Architecture and HKS Architects for the “topping out” of Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge.

Scheduled to be completed in December 2013, the $100 million state-of-the-art Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge will provide high-quality, state-of-the-art inpatient, medical, surgical and emergency care to residents of Irmo, Harbison, Chapin, Dutch Fork and surrounding areas.

Located on a 75-acre pedestrian- and traffic-friendly campus, the new facility will include:
• 76 inpatient beds
• 24/7 emergency department
• an intensive care unit
• a labor and delivery unit and newborn nursery
• six operating rooms
• diagnostic and treatment services including laboratory and imaging
• full complement of primary care physicians and specialists on site
