What are the benefits of MyHealth?
You can access MyHealth anytime, from anywhere, from any device with Internet capability. With MyHealth you can:
- Communicate with your doctor’s office
- Refill prescriptions
- Review your lab results
- View your personal health information
MyHealth is rolling out throughout Palmetto Health’s practice network, which means if you’re also a patient at Women Physicians Associates or Columbia Gastroenterology or any of the other Palmetto Health practices, you can visit MyHealth to access your information from them as well … all with the same login. And beginning next year, we’ll offer this same benefit to patients who are admitted to a Palmetto Health hospital.
How do I sign up?
When you come to your doctor’s office for your next visit, ask the front desk staff to sign you up for MyHealth. You’ll need to provide your name, date of birth and email address. You also will be asked to create a security question. Before you even leave the office, you should receive your email invitation. Just click on the link within the email and sign in with MyHealth.
Do I have a limited amount of time to sign up after I receive the invitation?
The invitation expires within 90 days, but if you forget, just contact the practice to receive a new email invitation.
Why is Cerner referenced on the website?
Cerner is the company we use to securely manage your electronic medical record information. MyHealth is a customized Cerner system that provides you with the capabilities to interact with the medical record system.
When will my practice offer MyHealth?
All Palmetto Health physician practices will offer MyHealth by October 1, 2013.
Is there a cost for MyHealth?
How secure is MyHealth?
MyHealth is encrypted and password-protected, so your health information remains secure.
What if I forget my password?
You can contact Cerner, the company that powers the software behind MyHealth, by calling 1-888-287-1024.
Can I access my child or parent’s health information?
Yes. Proxy access can be granted to parents of children under age 18, as well as caregivers of elderly patients. Just contact the front desk staff at the practice. A unique email address is required for each person. Please note that proxy access to a child’s account will expire when he or she turns 18, and the child will need to create his or her own account.
How quickly will I get my prescription after I submit a request through MyHealth?
Prescriptions will be available within two business days.
How soon after I register will my health information be there?
Your information should be available immediately.
Will any of my previous health information be available?
Who else will have access to my information?
Only you and those whom you grant proxy access will have access to your information.
