Why are there four MyHealth portals?

The MyHealth–Hospital portal accesses your hospital information if you’ve been a patient at any Palmetto Health hospital.

MyHealth–Physician accesses your physician practice or clinic information.

MyHealth–Palmetto Heart is the portal for patients of our cardiology practice, Palmetto Heart.

MyHealth–Orthopedics is the portal for patients of our cardiology practice, Palmetto Health Orthopedics.

Patients must sign up separately for each one.


What are the benefits of MyHealth?

MyHealth is available at all Palmetto Health hospitals, physician practices and clinics. You can access MyHealth anytime, from anywhere, from any device with Internet capability.

How do I sign up?

If you’re being admitted to one of our hospitals, our registration staff will send you an email invitation. Just click on the link within the email to join MyHealth.

In our physician practices and clinics, you can ask the front desk staff to sign you up. You will need to provide some basic information and will be asked to create a security question. Your email invitation should arrive within 24-48 hours. Just click on the link within the email and sign in with MyHealth.


Can I use the same login information for each MyHealth portal?

Yes, but you must sign up for each portal separately. For convenience, you are encouraged to use the same email address for each of your portals.


Do I have a limited amount of time to sign up after I receive the invitation?

The invitation expires within 90 days, but if you forget, just contact your practice (for MyHealth–Physician, MyHealth–Palmetto Heart and MyHealth–Orthopedics).  For MyHealth–Hospital, you can contact Cerner, the company that powers the software behind MyHealth–Physician and MyHealth–Hospital, by calling 1-877-621-8014. 


What if I forget my password?

You can contact Cerner, the company that powers the software behind MyHealth–Physician and MyHealth–Hospital, by calling 1-877-621-8014. For MyHealth–Palmetto Heart and MyHealth–Orthopedics, go to the portal login page, click on “Forgot Your Password” and provide the requested information. If you experience difficulty, please call the practice.


Why are Cerner/IQHealth, MedFusion and Athena Health referenced on the website?

Cerner/IQHealth, Medfusion/Greenway and Athena Health are companies we use to securely manage your electronic medical record information. MyHealth is a customized system that provides you with the capabilities to interact with the medical record system.


Why is Baptist Easley Hospital referenced on the website?

Baptist Easley Hospital is a partnership between Palmetto Health and Greenville Health System. Baptist Easley patients also use the MyHealth–Physician and MyHealth–Hospital patient portals.


Is there a cost for MyHealth?

It’s free.


How secure is MyHealth?

MyHealth is encrypted and password-protected, so your health information remains secure. 


Can I access my child’s or parent’s health information?
  • Pediatric proxy access is granted to parents of children under age 16. Pediatric proxy access will be automatically terminated on the child’s 16th birthday.
  • Adult proxy access is available to caregivers of patients over age 16, with permission from the patient. To request adult proxy access for MyHealth-Hospital, contact Health Information Management at 803-296-3430. A patient can terminate proxy access by contacting Cerner at 1-877-621-8014. To request or terminate proxy access for the other portals, contact your practice directly.

Who else will have access to my information?

Only you and those whom you grant proxy access will have access to your information.


How soon after I register will my health information be there?

Your visit information should be available immediately.


When will I see my lab or test results in MyHealth?

Lab or test results are released to you within seven to 10 days. Please note that some results are received faster than others, so some results from the same visit may be available to you before others.


How quickly will I get my prescription after I submit a request through MyHealth–Physician?

Prescriptions will be available within two business days.


When can I expect a reply to health messages I send to my doctor’s office
through MyHealth–Physician?

You will receive an answer within three business days. MyHealth should not be used for urgent situations.
