About Our Practice
Palmetto Heart’s team of 13 cardiologists is dedicated to providing our patients with the care and compassion we want for our families and ourselves. We expertly treat conditions ranging from valve disorders to peripheral vascular disease to atrial fibrillation, with innovative services and procedures like:

Thank you for choosing Palmetto Heart. For an appointment at our Columbia or Lexington office, please call 803-434-3800. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.?For an appointment at our Hartsville office, please call 843-383-5978. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
You will need to bring your insurance card, picture identification (such as a driver’s license) and any medications you are currently taking. We may also ask you to bring films from another hospital or doctor's office if necessary. Please provide 24 hours notice if cancelling an appointment.
Prescriptions and Refills
Please allow 48 hours to refill prescription requests. If your insurance plan requires authorization for a medication, it may take longer than 48 hours to get approval. Call for refills during our regular scheduled office hours, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Please note that refill requests called in after regular office hours or on weekends or holidays will result in a $20 charge per prescription.
Fees and Insurance
We accept most insurance plans. If you have a question about our fees or your bill, please call our Physician Practice Billing department at 803-296-7306 and we will assist you. Payment is due when services are rendered. For your convenience we accept cash, checks and credit cards. It is your responsibility to fully understand your coverage benefits and to verify that we are listed as approved providers prior to scheduling an appointment with us.
