John J. Singerling III – President, Palmetto Health John J. Singerling III has been with Palmetto Health since 1996 and became president of Palmetto Health on October 12, 2010. He previously was executive vice president and chief operating officer for Palmetto Health Richland. He also has served as vice president of operations for Palmetto Health Richland. Prior to that, he worked as corporate director of planning and system development and assistant to the president and CEO for Palmetto Health. Singerling earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a master's degree in Health Administration from the University of South Carolina.

Paul Duane – Chief Financial Officer, Palmetto Health Paul Duane is chief financial officer of Palmetto Health. He joined Palmetto Health in 2000 and has more than 20 years of healthcare finance experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer for ViaHealth in Rochester, N.Y. Duane earned a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York and is a certified public accountant.

Marty Bridges – Acute Care Executive, Palmetto Health Baptist Marty Bridges is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Palmetto Health Baptist. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Baptist Medical Center. Bridges joined the hospital in 1979 as a financial analyst. Bridges received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Clemson University and a master’s degree in healthcare financial management from the University of South Carolina.

Michelle Edwards – Chief Information Officer, Palmetto Health Michelle Edwards is senior vice president, chief information officer of Palmetto Health. Prior to this position, she was Palmetto Health's corporate director for clinical applications. Edwards graduated from Midlands Technical College with an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina and is currently enrolled at Strayer University toward a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration.

Vince Ford – Chief Community Health Services Officer, Palmetto Health Vince Ford is senior vice president of Palmetto Health Community Health and is responsible for Palmetto Health’s $17 million tithe to the community for health issues. Ford had been working under the auspices of Richland Memorial Hospital since April 21, 1997. Prior to that, he was the executive director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Midlands. Ford earned bachelor’s degree from Benedict College and a master’s degree in individual and family development from S.C. State University.

Ellis M. (Mac) Knight, M.D. – Chief Physician and Clinical Integration Officer, Palmetto Health Dr. Mac Knight is senior vice president of Ambulatory Services for Palmetto Health. Prior to this position, he was Palmetto Health Richland's vice president for medical affairs. Dr. Knight graduated from Stanford University with a BA degree in Human Biology and received his degree cum laude in medicine from the University of Oregon Health Science Center's School of Medicine. He earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dr. Knight served as a medical detachment commander for the U.S. Army, as founding partner and medical director for Inpatient Medical Associates of Columbia, as managing partner for Midlands Internal Medicine Associates, and as clinical associate professor of medicine for USC's School of Medicine.

James I. Raymond, M.D. – Chief Medical & Academic Officer, Palmetto Health Dr. Jim Raymond is Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Palmetto Health. Prior to this position, Dr. Raymond was senior vice president of Quality, Medical Education and Research for Palmetto Health. Before that, Dr. Raymond was senior vice president of Medical Education and Research at Palmetto Health Richland. Prior to that, he was director of the Emergency Medicine Center, a position he had held since 1980. Raymond earned a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College, Pennsylvania; a master’s degree in physical chemistry from the University of Virginia; and a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Stan Hickson – Accute Care Executive, Palmetto Health Richland Stan Hickson is the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Palmetto Health Richland. Prior to that he was the vice president of operations at Palmetto Health Richland. Hickson joined Palmetto Health in 2007 after serving as the chief operating officer of Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, VA; associate administrator of Trident Medical Center; strategic planner for The Healthcare Company and administrative resident at Novant Health. He earned a bachelor's degree from College of Charleston and a master's degree in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Howard West – Chief Legal Officer, Palmetto Health Howard West is senior vice president and general counsel of Palmetto Health. West is a former vice president for corporate services and general counsel at Palmetto Health Richland. He joined the hospital in 1979 as an administrative resident. West earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina. He also earned a master’s degree in hospital administration from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. West earned his law degree from the University of Virginia.

Amy Barry – Chief Human Resources & Innovation Officer, Palmetto Health Amy Barry is system vice president of Human Resources at Palmetto Health. She previously held the position of vice president and chief human resources officer at Martin Memorial Health System in Stuart, Florida, where she was employed for 17 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Siena College Loudonville, NY in 1990 where she also received Certification in International Studies, Foreign Relations and Business. In 1999, she completed the Executive MBA program and received her Master’s in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Fort Lauderdale. In both her undergraduate and graduate studies, Ms. Barry studied abroad in Spain.

Loos earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and an MHA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Prior to coming to Palmetto Health, he was a 25-year marketing, advertising and communications executive in a career that included positions at Deutsch, Inc. in New York and Sharp HealthCare, San Diego, where he served as senior vice president of marketing and communications.

Sarah Richter – Acute Care Executive, Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Sarah Richter is system vice president of clinical operations for Palmetto Health and the executive for Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge. Prior to joining Palmetto Health, she was director of patient care services/chief nursing officer for Hillcrest Memorial Hospital at Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center. She has held several staff nursing positions, as well as leadership positions during her 20 years in the healthcare profession. Richter earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from James Madison University and her Master of Science degree in nursing from Troy State University with a minor in nursing administration.
