Orthopaedic traumatology is an emerging subspecialty incorporating new skills and technology that were never before utilized by orthopaedic surgeons. Our orthopaedic traumatologists have the specialized expertise to manage and treat poly-traumatic injuries. Patients who have suffered multiple fractures, soft tissue injuries, skin wounds and injuries to other organs present a unique set of challenges. With the support of the level one trauma center at Palmetto Health Richland, they handle complex trauma cases where they must anticipate and prevent possible complications.
Dr. Tucker is a graduate of Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia and an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
