May is National Stroke Awareness Month

Make stroke your meal time discussion. Commit to discussing risk with loved ones during the month of May. Since many of the risk factors for stroke come from family history, make learning about these risk factors a family affair. Know the warning signs and teach them to your loved ones. If you are the one having the stroke, you may not be able to tell anyone. The people who surround you on a day-to-day basis need to be educated as to the signs and symptoms of stroke.
